Bill Belisle Death, Obituary News:

The Mount Saint Charles Academy community is saddened to share the news that Bill Belisle, Mount’s long-time hockey coach and a stalwart member of our school community, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Bill’s impact on our school cannot be measured, and our hearts and prayers are with his entire family.

For five decades, Bill was the heart of Mount Saint Charles Academy’s hockey program, guiding Mounties to win 32 state championships and inspiring countless student-athletes over the years to excel on and off the ice. More than 20 of his athletes were drafted by NHL teams, and even more have gone on to coach at all levels. A member of the U.S. Hockey Hall of fame, his coaching style and knowledge of the game propelled players to reach further and push to the next level in all arenas of life.

“Personally, I remember Bill from my time as a student, then as a teacher and coach, and again when I returned to Mount as president,” said Alan Tenreiro, president of Mount Saint Charles Academy. “He was always there as a guide and was an exceptional mentor to students and staff, and to family and friends. The world has lost one of its greatest coaches, and Mount will feel the loss for decades to come…..” Official Mount Saint Charles Academy posted on Facebook.

We know doubtlessly that we never lose our loved ones, even to death. They keep on partaking in each act, thought and choice we make. Their adoration leaves a very solid scratching in our memories.
